The spiritual pillars that sustain our journey and mission.
It is in personal prayer that we become intimate with Jesus Christ, the perfect model of prayer. To grow in vocation and charism, we must walk the path of daily personal prayer.
The prayerful reading of God's Word is one of the great treasures of the Christian tradition. This practice leads to encounter with Jesus the Teacher and to knowledge of the mystery of Christ.
We are called to read the Bible from cover to cover and to the scientific, critical, and spiritual study of Sacred Scripture, being a community of biblical reference.
The Church lives from the Eucharist. The Eucharistic Sacrifice is the source and center of all Christian life. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is an inexhaustible source of holiness.
Mission is part of the essence of being the Éleos Missionary Fraternity. Evangelizing is the essential mission of the Church; therein lies its deepest identity.
A life of availability and obedience to the Bishop, offering the charisms of the Fraternity for service to the Church. Support for priests in parish activities.
Most Holy Mary occupies a singular place in the history of salvation and in the life of the Church. As Saint John Paul II teaches us: "Mary is the one who knows most deeply the mystery of divine mercy, that is why we call her the Mother of Mercy."
We, as the Éleos Missionary Fraternity, are called to drink from these sources so that we can approach the Virgin Mary and love her as our Mother in Heaven, pray with her, ask for her powerful intercession, and together live our daily lives.
"Mary is for the Church the model of faith, charity, and obedience; for this reason she cooperated in the work of the Savior, becoming for us mother in the order of grace."
Catechism of the Catholic ChurchAs the Éleos Missionary Fraternity, we are called to meditate on the apparitions of Our Lady to Lucia, Jacinta, and Francisco, which occurred from May 13, 1917, in Fatima, Portugal.
The Virgin of Fatima transmits to us messages that illuminate our vocation:
The call to conversion and return to the Gospel
The daily recitation of the holy rosary prayer
A life of penance for the salvation of souls
Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us!
In this experience of personal and transforming encounter with Jesus Christ and His Word, Saint Francis of Assisi is for us a brother who illuminates the path of prayer, prayerful reading of God's Word, love for brothers, service to the poorest and most excluded, missionary life, and loving obedience to the Roman Catholic Apostolic Church.
"Francis, go and rebuild my Church."
Words of Christ to Saint FrancisSaint Francis is not just the "saint of animals"; and, in fact, he also is, for the Canticle of the Creatures expresses his communion of love with all creation. However, reducing him to this aspect would be a serious simplification, almost a caricature of the depth of his life and spirituality.
The Saint of Assisi is a profoundly relevant man and remains present in the lives of those who invoke him by the grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Saint Francis was and continues to be a gift from God for all of us, for the Church, and for the whole world. In him we contemplate a luminous example of holiness and love that transcends boundaries of religion, culture, and nations.
From Francis' grace were born the Franciscan Orders — the Friars Minor, the Conventuals, the Capuchins, and the Poor Clares — who gave the Church countless testimonies of holiness and saints who rose to the altars. Among them, Saint Pio of Pietrelcina stands out, fruit of Capuchin spirituality.
In a time marked by existential fragmentation, Francis teaches the harmonious integration of all dimensions of Christian life. In a culture obsessed with material accumulation, he witnesses to the freedom born of voluntary detachment. In an era of superficial and virtual relationships, he demonstrates the beauty of concrete and incarnate fraternity.
