The Éleos Missionary Fraternity is born from God's call to live and witness the mystery of divine mercy, revealed in Jesus Christ. The word Éleos comes from Greek (ἔλεος), present in Sacred Scripture, and means mercy — not merely as a feeling of compassion, but as a concrete act of love that reaches out to human frailty to restore, heal, and save it.
God is Community. Therefore, He created us to live in fraternity. In fraternal life, we have the opportunity to share our gifts and, at the same time, be freed from our miseries. We are called to be part of the Body of Christ, in which its members coexist in harmony, performing their functions for the good of the whole Body.
Encountering Jesus means sharing His ministry of love for neighbor and bringing salvation to all places. Mission is inseparable from Christian identity. It is not an isolated action, but a way of being; it is part of the essence of Christianity. Community life has no meaning when it closes in on itself.
From the Greek ἔλεος, Éleos means mercy. It expresses a deep feeling of mercy in the face of a neighbor's suffering and the desire to relieve that pain, aiming at the integral restoration of the person. Éleos means acting moved by mercy to transform the situation of the neighbor, recognized as brother and sister.
The Éleos Missionary Fraternity is called to be a family of faith, a space for welcome, sharing, prayer, evangelization, conversion, integral formation, and listening to the Holy Spirit.
We desire to be a community in which its members have a deep experience of Jesus' Mercy, becoming His missionary disciples.
Being Éleos means embodying in our lives the spirit of active mercy in the face of humanity's sufferings and being instruments of this mercy to restore every man and woman to live God's original plan.
"Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful."
Luke 6:36
Our mission is realized through four fundamental pillars.
Education, understood in the light of the Church's tradition and the Christian mission, constitutes an indispensable foundation for life and for the integral growth of the human being. We commit ourselves to cultivate education as a concrete expression of our charism, offering young people and families a path of dignity, hope, and social transformation.
The Children's Bible Group is born from the deep desire to introduce little ones to the mystery of God's Word from an early age, planting in their hearts the seeds of the Gospel. Inspired by Jesus' words: "Let the little children come to me" (Lk 18:16-17), we understand that children possess a unique capacity to welcome God's love with simplicity and truth.
Youth, far from being just a stage of preparation for adult life, constitutes a privileged time of encounter with God and generous response to His call to holiness. Young people are called to be protagonists of the New Evangelization, evangelizers of other young people, bold witnesses of the Gospel in their environments of study, work, and leisure.
The family, since the origins of creation, occupies a central place in God's salvific plan. We recognize in the family not only a social institution, but the first and fundamental cell of society and the Church, called to holiness and to the evangelizing mission. The family is the domestic church where parents are the first teachers of the faith.
